Using Mind Maps always helps generate new ideas and document the ideas you have at the moment. You could be reading a book, having an intelligent conversation, watching a movie, or writing out your next big goal. Mind maps help in all of these situations. Let it be a visual representation of your thought process, you never know what might come out of it.
The pen you use with your Passion Planner is one of the most important decisions. Here are a few of the pens we use in our layouts: Frixion Ball, Uni Jetstream, Copic Multiliner, Stabilo, Hero, Sharpie Pen, and Pilot G-2. These pens both write extremely well and don’t bleed through your pages.
You can never have too many Post-its. Here are some Post-It tips you can use for your planner!
1) Use Post-Its to help time-block your appointments
2) Color code different activities throughout the week. Work? Blue. Errands? Red! Or choose whichever colors you like!
3) Sometimes we need to change our plans. Post-Its are perfect for this!
Even though we have one ribbon to bookmark your current day/page, tabs are a great way to mark other important aspects in your Passion Planner. For example, we find it useful to tab different sections such as: grids, blanks, reflections, months. It makes it easier to stay organized and to find what you are looking for. You can even bookmark your favorite quote in your Passion Planner so you can flip to it whenever you need a little extra motivation!
Print out pictures and throughout the year, put them on the front page or throughout your planner. By the end of the year, you’ll have your very own scrapbook summing up your whole year and the amazing moments captured.
Do you have a couple favorite colors to use in your Passion Planner? Try creating a color legend to stay organized so you don’t forget what those colors mean.
This can help with organization and gauging how much time you spend in different parts of your life. Sometimes we need to balance out our lives. This is a perfect way to do just that! :)
Utilize the monthly calendar and write at least ONE memorable thing (good) thing that happened that day. When you look back, there won’t be a day that was wasted/insignificant.
On your Not-To-Do list, write some bad habits you are trying to break. Habits creating a wall in between you and your goals. Anything you write here should be actively worked on to prevent in order to help achieve your personal goals. Mark tallies every time you catch yourself doing something you’re not supposed to do. That way, you have a baseline for improvement for the next month. If you slip up, don’t get down on yourself, just try not to do it again next time.
Sometimes we find it helpful to replace our work to-do list with a NOT to-do list. It reminds us that we have better things to focus our attention on in order to chase our passions and goals.
Write down recipes with adjacent grocery lists, so you’re prepared for the next week. Take advantage of sticky notes to write your grocery list and recipes to move them around whenever you need them!
Plan your workouts & meal prep days in the monthly layout. 3 reasons why a workout log is important: 1) Seeing the big picture helps stay motivated 2) Stay consistent with your goals 3) Keep track of best personal workout record
Create two jars out of laminate, designating one for pounds to lose and the other for pounds lost. Put stickers in the first jar for how many pounds you want to lose (or gain). Watch as your progress jar starts to fill up!
Listing your goals on your Passion Roadmap can help you visually see your dreams. Fill out your roadmap and start planning to do the things you’re passionate about. Draw a small illustration or place a sticker by each goal that best represents it. While planning your month, place a sticker or draw the illustration you plan to focus on for each week.
Don't forget to use your mid-year Passion Roadmap and define your future goals on paper. That 15 minutes you spend can change your life completely! Use it to prioritize which goals would make the most positive impact in your life. Many times people look back at their Passion Roadmaps and have subconsciously reached their goals, but the first and most important step is concretely deciding what you want on paper!
You know that pocket in the back of your planner? There's a lot of ways to utilize it! You can use it for: sticky notes, IDs, receipts, Polaroid pics, gift cards, stamp cards, sanitizer wipes, notes, Ziplock bags, Band-aids, Gum (unused of course), earbuds, paperclips, extra key, and tickets. The POCKETBILITIES ARE ENDLESS!
If you’re not a fan of green, there are plenty of ways to change up your ribbon! One way you can jazz it up is by tying extra strings to the green ribbon and then braiding way! Not only is this a fun way to customize your own ribbon, but if you would like to keep the original, now you have 2 ribbons to separate your monthly and weekly layouts! It is multifunctional!
Decorate the fore edges of the Passion Planner with different kinds of pens! You can either make a colorful and creative design, or simply label it with your name. You can even put the year of the Passion Planner on it. Whatever you decide, make sure it works for you.

A super easy way to keep a pen along close to your planner? Just pop it in the strap at the top of your planner! Slide the pen under the strap so the side with the clip goes right over the strap. The pen will prevent itself from sliding out, and the strap will hold your pen securely! You’ll never have to dig through your bag again to jot down something in your planner once an idea strikes!
Polaroids are one of the greatest ways to look back on your year. You can also print little photos to tape into your week as well.
Graduating soon? Use the back of your planner to track where you are in the job application process! Add a resume section, a cover letter section, and an interview section. Once you complete each stage, mark it with a check. Then once you hear back from your potential employer, write yes or no in your last box.
When it comes to the first one of the month, turn back the pages and reflect on the past month. Don’t forget that our past is there for us to learn from. Make this month even better than the last!
Write down your five greatest strengths. Focus on using these strengths to your advantage this week to complete your tasks.
Look over your syllabus for the semester and start scheduling in when exams are or when projects are due. That way, you can plan when to start reviewing and working on a big presentation!
Sometimes the best way to calm a chaotic mind is to write everything down! Every night before bed, take some time to define your next day’s focus! Going into the day with a clear goal is the best way to have a productive day!

Make a mindmap of the little things you can do to adjust your diet. Eating healthier will help you stay focused and ready for whatever challenge may come your way!
